4 Unmissable acts at Love Sensation

Royal Hospital Kilmainham

August 17th & 18th 2019

Ireland’s very first LGBTQ+ festival is coming to Dublin! From the great minds behind MOTHER comes Love Sensation. Two days (August 17th & 18th) of music and celebration in the Royal Hospital Kilmainham. Over 40 acts packed into an unmissable August weekend, check out the highlights…

An artist who needs no introduction, but we’re going to give her one anyway! Fourteen years in music, 73 nominations, 31 awards and over 4m album sales across the globe. LILY ALLEN is a pop icon with a legacy of chart-topping singles like ‘Smile’, ‘LDN’, ‘The Fear’ and ‘Not Fair’. In recent years Allen has starred in the viral John Lewis advert with her Keane cover, released her confessional album No Shame to wide critical-acclaim and in September 2018, published her own memoir.

Following an impressive headline slot at Sea Sessions last month, CLEAN BANDIT have been dominating the Irish stages this summer. In just four years, CLEAN BANDIT have managed to secure themselves a number of nominations in the Grammys, Billboard awards, Brits, you name it! Their infectious pop hooks like ‘Symphony’, ‘Rockabye’ and ‘No Place I’d Rather Be’ have become the definitive summer sound for this generation. This August, there’s no place you’d rather be than at their Love Sensation performance.

After their recent reformation, GOSSIP are a hot topic in music this year.  With their Gold Status album, Standing in the Way of Control, impressive back catalogue of hits and addictive dance-rock sound, GOSSIP’s return is shaping up to be the highlight of your summer. Front woman Ditto is one of the forerunners of fashion for plus size models in the UK and in 2010 walked for Jean Paul Gaultier at Paris Fashion Week.

KELIS’ Milkshake will be bringing all the boys to the RHK yard on Saturday in her first Irish date in over 3 years! Be transported back to the year 2000, when Belgium became the second country in the world to legalise same sex marriage, a cloud was just a thing in the sky and cheesy pop reigned the charts. With over 6 million records sold, 10 top ten singles and an iconic repertoire of bangers, you won’t want to miss this.
