5,000 wellbeing fans descended on The Convention Centre Dublin for a weekend filled with health and fitness trends, setting them up for the summer ahead.

Thrive Festival debuted at The Convention Centre Dublin this weekend with thousands flocking to Ireland’s newest premium health and wellbeing event. By the time doors closed on Sunday, following their participation in classes, demonstrations and talks, over 5,000 wellness fans had a real spring in their step. Thrive Festival has now firmly established itself as being on the pulse and ahead of wellbeing trends with many exclusive classes and health influencers debuting in Ireland.

Over 238 classes took place over the weekend ranging from yoga to Ballet Beautiful from New York. KOBOX London ran jam packed classes outside of the UK for the first time. KOBOX is the go-to class in London for everyone from Vogue Williams to Rosie Huntington-Whitely. Irish fitness fans got to train with the very best of Ireland’s yoga, Pilates and HIIT instructors including the lululemon ambassadors, POUND, the F45 team and Fitvision.

Saturday’s highlights included Signature Speaker Gemma Atkinson telling her very real story on wellbeing and talking all about her breakthrough book “The Ultimate Body Plan”. Chefs Jasmine Helmsley and Indy Power held packed demonstrations while talks from sleep specialist Tom Coleman, The Gut Stuff MacFarlane twins and RTÉ Hourglass captivated attendees. Irish model, influencer and “Beat Your Bloat” author, Maeve Madden was on hand not only to give a fitness class but also talk through her own health experiences.

On Sunday, The Food Medic Dr Hazel Wallace returned to Irish shores and was the Signature Speaker. Cookery demos from Holly White and Sinead Delahunty were filled with ravenous fitness fans! Talks from model and fashion blogger Louise O’Reilly (Style me Curvy) plus adventurer Pip Stewart had fans enthralled and inspired.

Event Director Avril Bannerton of Equinox Events is already looking to the planning of the 2020 event. Speaking today she said ”We have launched a new kind of wellness event with a mix of programmes, classes, workshops and really rich deep talent pool all under one roof. The weekend was a great way to usher in the official start of Irish summer time and we’re all now feeling energised and inspired. The Convention Centre was a hive of activity all weekend and, following the positive feedback we have received, people are already looking forward to our return next year”.
