Glorious Groove weekend a resounding hit!

A sell-out success, festival fans basked in the July summer sun at the sixth Groove Festival this weekend at Killruddery House and Gardens, Bray.

Groove Festival, brought to you by Energia, was a glorious success this weekend at Killruddery House and Gardens in Bray. Groovers turned up in their numbers to relish the stunning heatwave of 2018 enjoying the very best at the independent music festival. This was year six for Groove and unquestionably this was the best yet and a sell-out success.

With plenty of drinking water and shade in the gorgeous gardens right at the foothill of the Sugarloaf, fans comfort was foremost in the organiser’s minds for this sweltering weekend of music. Speaking about #Groove18, Festival Director Avril Bannerton said, “What an amazing weekend we have had. The sun was magnificent, the music just perfect and all the Groovers had a weekend to remember, we wish we could do it all over again next week! The team can’t wait to start planning #Groove19.”

Bray turned into a suburb of New York with the kings, Fun Lovin’ Criminals, rocking Killruddery to the sounds of their biggest hits including Scooby Snacks and Fun Lovin’ Criminals on Saturday night. Prior to their headline performance, the crowds were wowed by The Riptide Movement and had a blast from the past with classic Something Happens hits.

Sunday night and it was the turn of local Irish heroes The Stunning to round off the weekend for Groovers straight after Heather Small, the voice of M People, had everyone dancing in the gardens with her classic hits including Proud and One Night in Heaven.
